Happy 12-12-12! I'm finishing up my edits on my second book for Tor, and it has been a wonderful week(ish) in reviews! Good news all around.

Before we dive in, check out this post on extraordinary heroines in sci-fi romance, over at Heroes & Heartbreakers (written by author and The Galaxy Express blogger Heather Massey).

I keep wondering who my ghost would be if I were lucky enough to be a character created in the amazing mind of Sharon Fisher. Unexpected twists and turns kept me reading Ghost Planet as fast as I could.

Awesome premise, intriguing science, perfect world building, fantastic character development, and yes, more questions to be answered in hopefully a sequel, I'm so glad to have Elizabeth and Murphy a part of my life.

[Wow, I think I need to YouTube interview this reader and put it on my site!]

I started reading this book one night because i was having trouble falling asleep. Well before i knew it i had read straight through to the back cover and it was past 2 AM...

Ms. Fisher's `Ghost Planet' is one of the best science-fiction romance novels I've read in quite a while. I absolutely loved the characters of Elizabeth and Murphy...This book strives to emphasize the importance of symbiosis and cohesion while pointing out how cutting ourselves off from the world and from others does nothing but harm. I felt the author had well-developed characters, a great plot, and intriguing scientific and psychological twists. `Ghost Planet' will keep your interest engaged and you will not want to put this book down until the last word!

This well-done science fiction romance will satisfy lovers of both genres, weaving the love story through a tale grounded in scientific theory and superb world building. Fisher leaves enough planetary secrets hidden to warrant a sequel, and I hope there will be another visit to Ardagh 1 in store. Highly recommended!

Some of the above also appear on Goodreads. Here are excerpts from a few others.

This book was a total surprise! Within a few pages, I was so thrilled to be reading an exceptional book from an unknown author that I thought about tracking her down to email her!

Fisher is great in combining science fiction and fantasy to tell an engrossing story. I was not able to put the book down, until I finished it. Ghost Planet will [leave] you happily satisfied and wanting for nothing. Hands down, thumbs up for upcoming writer Sharon Fisher!!!!
